NEW CAR NEW CAR NEW CAR

I finally have a car made in the 21st century!! It's 2007 Chevrolet Equinox (back to American made). It has cloth seats, great air conditioner, tons of cool buttons, tells me the song that is playing on the radio, and gets an average of 22 MPG. Also a car payment too which is the downside, but I can change the channels to the radio on my steering wheel so I am ecstatic!! I have attached some pictures that are not my specific car but the same year. This is because Pat lost my camera while hog hunting (gotta love him). It's so refreshing to finally have a nice car and start a new chapter of life. It was hard to say goodbye to the white Pathfinder 1997, but it was on its last toe (not leg or foot, but toe). It will be in my memories of college forever and I will miss it thismuch. As for the new car, I am one very blessed person! Yay!

Work Update

So I have 34 days until the completion date for the Regions Bank here in Laplace. We started out with a two story building that we demolished to put a brand new one. That includes ALL the concrete too (parking lot, etc.). It's getting there with a roof on and all the interior walls up. We're starting to close the walls in as long as the mechanical and electrical contractors can keep up. This job has definitely been a fast paced and crazy, but I love it! Other than that, we are still pushing the Port Sulphur Fire Station. These two buildings are my first "on my own" jobs so I am definitely thisclose to being a little overwhelmed. The fire station has been difficult considering the start date was the week Gustav hit and then Ike hit them also (Port Sulphur is the "toe" of the Louisiana boot). We have been able to finally get down there and they finally have electricity. It's a FEMA funded project so there is so much paperwork which I should be getting back to....I'll post some pictures soon.
